BORN TO RUN 1968 MUSTANG COUPE
BORN TO RUN 1968 MUSTANG COUPE
In the early 1960s, Lee Iacocca, the vice president and general manager of Ford, had a vision of creating a sporty car that would appeal to younger people and be based on the compact Falcon. Despite having limited resources, the Ford team developed the car in record time and on a small budget. This car was called the Mustang, and it was introduced to the public at the World's Fair on April 17, 1964. The Mustang was an instant hit and received a lot of praise. Ford had initially planned to sell 100,000 units in the first year, but on the first day, dealers sold 22,000 Mustangs.
The Ford Mustang has a deep racing heritage competing in every form of racing from on traditional closed course race tracks, the 1/4 mile drag strip and dirt road rally time trials.
STUTTART works are created using a variety of techniques from original photograph and photo illustration to 3D rendering and AI image generation. The result is beautiful automotive art that is classic in style, but forward leaning in technique.
This particular piece began as an original "prompt" that was processed in an artificial intelligence image generation application. Numerous iterations were created, overlayed and then reworked and enhanced by hand using digital painting techniques. For more info on how we use AI, check out our blog post on the topic.
